Passport applications lodged overseas incur an additional overseas application fee (overseas surcharge). This fee is included in the total fee on our Fee Table for each passport type.
To see the exact price of the overseas surcharge, visit the fee page at passports.gov.au. This fee does not apply to replacement or emergency passport applications.
Fees are required under the Consular Fees Act. Certified copy fees are charged per document. Witnessing fees are charged per person per document.
For property/mortgage documents we charge a witnessing fee per document per person and a certified copy fee per document per copy. You should contact a notary public to see if they can witness your documents for a lower fee (see 'Alternative Providers of Notarial Services in Hong Kong and Macau' here). The Consulate’s current fees are available here. There is no charge for the DFAT Identity Certificate.
